Bacon Bits
6-January
We haven't thrown our hats in the arena as President and Vice
President, though we know it would be a landslide victory, but we
will be part of the coverage (well, sort of). This is a radio
advertisement that we will run during WNTK News Talk 99.7 coverage
of the First in the Nation Primary LIVE from Manchester, NH
beginning on Monday.
Bacon Graphics Part of the First in the Nation Primary
(RADIO AD)
28-December
As we wind down another year here at Bacon Graphics, like many
businesses, there is a review process taking place of our successes
and failures. That is correct, we said failures. We continually test
new service and product markets and some of them work and some
don't. What do we learn from our failures? We learn that we might
need to adjust our approach. We learn that perhaps it was just a
market that isn't for our business model. But, most of all, we
learn. We will surely have more successes and failures in 2012. This
is because we are always looking to build our business.
We share this same approach with our customers. We want to see you
grow! Here is a growth tip we shared through our Facebook page:
Year-end tips for your online marketing: Websites need fresh content
regularly. Communicate with your followers in Social Media. Be
proactive with your online presence. Be the expert in your field and
share the expertise. Have an online marketing plan and designate
someone to implement the plan.
If you need help with your online plan,
contact us. We wish you great success in 2012! We will
continually share more tips on our
Facebook page
next year.
8-December
With the holiday season upon us, it
appears that company apparel is going to be spread throughout the
land. We have hit our cut-off for pre-Christmas delivery. This is
the time of year when businesses start to stock up on supplies so
they can log those tax expenses. Popular items are business cards,
forms, brochures, direct mail postcards, and vehicle graphics. If
you need any of these items, contact us and will get the ball
rolling.
16-November
We are at our new location at 232
North Main Street in Newport, NH (directly across from the high
school). Stop by and see us! Our showroom features many of the signs
we have completed and our design area is open space. We are sharing
Newport Tigers apparel designs with all that stop by this week. The
Tigers apparel will be added to our showroom during Thanksgiving
week. Maybe we will have our own Black Friday.
31-October
To say we have been busy is an
understatement. We have finished work on the annual report for
David's House and it will be going to the presses tomorrow.
We are working on a website for Davey
Davis, the father of Country Eastern Music. In addition to his music
site, we are also designing a site for some of his video work
pertaining to Real Fair Chase Hunting.
The sign carving aspect of our
business has held a dominant presence in daily activities for the
past couple of months. As this update is being created, the router
can be heard in the background. A crest is being carved today for
addition to a monumental sign to be finished later this week.
We finished a partial vehicle wrap for
Double Diamond Cafe in Sunapee, NH this past weekend. Then we were
outside setting sign frame in the ground before the Nor'Easter. Yes
- we were shocked by the October snowstorm, but were some of the
lucky ones to retain power. Our next update very likely will come
from our new location. Stay tuned...
14-October
We are happy to report that many
clients have been taking our advice and updating the content on
their websites. In the very near future we will be rolling out a
newer website design program which will include mobile websites for
ideal viewing on cell phones. This service will roll out right
around the time we are in our new location. Oops! We just let the
cat out of the bag. We are opening a showroom location with a retail
store in November on Main Street in Newport.
View the full details about our new
location.
5-October
After about 10 days of rain and
clouds, the sun is putting up a good fight here in Newport, NH. It
helps the creative spirits to have a little ray of sunshine. So what
is receiving our creativeness you ask? We are putting the finishing
touch on a couple of beautiful carved signs to be installed very
soon if the weather cooperates. We have another large carved sign in
the queue for early next week.
We will also begin work on a 16-page
Annual Report design next week. Some designers love working on these
reports and you can include Bacon Graphics among them.
We have another landscape website to
be designed in the very near future. This will be our third. I think
we are getting a reputation in that field.
Last, but not least, we will have an
exciting announcement forthcoming which will take Bacon Graphics to
the next level!
30-September
Tomorrow is the first day of October
and the fall foliage is starting to show its vivid colors. The
seasonal festivals are drawing tourist from around the world to our
New England region. It won't be long and we will be settling in for
our long winter. But, like squirrels gathering acorns, our clients
are hustling around trying to get their marketing items done. We
have a number of carved signs being worked on (one shown to the
right in its infant stage). You can see a step-by-step photo gallery
of this sign being crafted on our
Facebook page.
While you are there, why not click on that little 'Like' button. We
appreciate those that follow our work and thank you for the support.
We are also working on a number of new
brands for new entrepreneurs. There are so many small business
owners that are the glue holding together our economy in its
weakened stage. At Bacon Graphics, we thoroughly enjoy working with
business owners to build their dreams. There is a glimmer in their
eyes and a passion in their hearts that brings enthusiasm to the
relationships we create with them as they grow.
We recently completed t-shirts for the
2011 Pinnacle Bike Challenge scheduled for this weekend in Newport,
NH. We wish all of the competitors the best of luck and a safe
competition.
28-September
8:20AM and the sign carver is at work
on a fresh piece of high density sign foam, the tunes are cranked up
to drown out the sound and we are going to work on a postcard design
for the Newport (NH) Historical Society. Before this day ends, we
will have two items off to the printing presses, a new logo design
out for review, two flat signs completed, and a number of client
website updates completed. Speaking of websites, we just added event
updates to the Star Speedway
website and Facebook page. Their season is winding down, but you can
still catch the action until October 29th.
27-September
Bacon Graphics Creative Director Jim
Chrimes has his book cover design featured on the front page of the
Argus Champion newspaper. Available on newsstands today!
26-September
There is some exciting news
brewing here at Bacon Graphics! That is a teaser for now. We will
make a formal announcement in the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, take a look
through the new website and be sure to "like" us on
Facebook. We are
regularly sharing the projects we are working on through our
Facebook page.
We are happy to be a small business
experiencing a great cycle of work at this time. Here is a recent
post we made:
"Bacon
Graphics knows no creative
boundaries. Current projects
include work for the
following industries: a
private school, a salon, a
historic society, a racing
series, a restaurant, a
baseball team, two collision
centers, an auto repair
shop, a fire apparatus club,
a municipality, a thrift
store, a market, an
electrician, a yoga studio,
an engine builder, a
landscaper, an excavator,
and we better stop typing
and get back to work....Have
a great weekend!"
We
have been very involved in the
250th anniversary festivities of
the town of Newport, NH. The
popcorn cart to the right is a
great period piece that we
completed the all graphics and
signage, as well as hand
painting on the wheels.
The Henry Phipps graphic to the
right is the design for a movie
that has been edited for
re-release on DVD. This is the
cover of that DVD. Other items
designed for the 250th
anniversary include event
posters, a book cover, a
commemorative postal stamp, a
postcard, and more.
Don't forget, we update our
Facebook regularly. You can also
follow us on Twitter. We love
staying in touch with our fans
and clients, so join our circle
for the latest from Bacon
Graphics.
